Arelys Barreto-Paz has been a bilingual educator for several years and has always looked for ways to integrate technology into instruction to support all learners across all content. She emphasized supporting other colleagues through modeling lessons, coaching, and finding resources to support instruction. To further her support for teachers and her students, she went to school to get a master’s degree in instructional technology leadership. She has experience with working with elementary grade levels but also worked with the Multilingual Department to extend herself in supporting teachers and students in shelter instruction strategies. Later on, she joined the Academic Instructional Technology Department to follow her passion for integrating technology into instruction while supporting teachers and students. She’s currently working in the department as a manager in the 1:1 Middle School PowerUp expansion program. Which allowed all middle school students to have access to technology while receiving instruction that is engaging and impactful.
