How do contributing authors earn commissions?
Contributing authors may earn commissions on qualifying purchases made directly through
the Mac Media Publishing website using their approved affiliate referral links and tracking system.
Do I need to register as an affiliate?
Yes. Authors must complete affiliate registration in order to access the affiliate dashboard,
receive commission tracking, and qualify for direct website sales payouts through the Mac Media platform.
What sales qualify for affiliate commissions?
Affiliate commissions apply only to qualifying personalized author copy purchases completed directly through the Mac Media Publishing website using your approved affiliate referral link and tracking system.
Authors who elect to offer personalized copies through the Mac Media platform may use their affiliate link to direct customers to purchase directly through the website for order processing and fulfillment.
Authors who purchase books in bulk and independently sell books through their own events, websites, speaking engagements, or personal sales channels are responsible for managing those sales independently and do not receive affiliate commissions on bulk inventory purchases.
Can authors sell books outside of the Mac Media website?
Yes. Authors may purchase books in bulk and independently sell books through their own events,
websites, speaking engagements, community activities, or personal sales channels.
Independent bulk sales managed outside of the Mac Media website are not tracked through the affiliate dashboard.
Do contributing authors receive Amazon or retail royalties?
No. Contributing author earnings through this portal apply only to qualifying direct website sales
through the Mac Media Publishing platform unless otherwise outlined in a separate written agreement.
When are affiliate payouts issued?
Affiliate commissions are reviewed and reconciled monthly. Approved payouts are typically processed
by the 15th of each month for the prior month’s verified earnings.
Why is there a payment processing period?
Processing time allows the Mac Media Publishing team to verify completed orders,
review refunds or cancellations, validate affiliate tracking, and finalize payout reconciliation
prior to payment distribution.
How are payouts distributed?
At this time, approved affiliate payouts are distributed through Stripe using the payment information
connected to your affiliate account.
What should I do if I do not see commissions in my dashboard?
Please allow time for order processing and reconciliation. If you believe a qualifying purchase
is missing from your affiliate dashboard after processing time has passed, please contact the
Mac Media Publishing team for support.
