Dr. Affton Coleman

Dr. Affton Coleman is a best-selling author, national presenter, elementary math specialist, curriculum writer, academic coach, educational consultant, and academic intervention implementation specialist. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003. In 2015, Dr. Coleman obtained her Master’s degree from Prairie View A&M University in Educational Administration. She completed her academic journey in 2021 by earning a Doctorate in Executive Educational Leadership at Houston Baptist University. She began teaching in 2008 and works as an Intervention Implementation Specialist. In her years of education, she mastered her craft and love for teaching using the 5Ps: Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance. She dedicated her time to any child she encountered by meeting them where they were using an innovative teaching style.

Dr. Coleman has presented on technology integration at various conferences such as the Educator Rising National Conference, the Teaching and Learning Symposium at Houston Baptist University, TCCA Conference, RTI Regional Conference, HAABSE, TABSE, & NABSE conferences, and other professional development sessions.
